I grew up in Pleasure Ridge Park, KY where I developed an interest in Family History as a hobby. The best resource is people and I have gotten a lot of information; however, there is still a lot of missing info so I hope everyone can assist if able. This site is still a work in progress.
My Family Crest
The shield shape is inspired by traditional Polish heraldry and has deep crimson red, which symbolizes courage and strength, and English royal blue, signifying loyalty and honor. The crest has a crown and white eagle with outstretched wings, representing Polish heritage, and a golden lion rampant, representing English heritage. Above the shield, a wreath of oak leaves and roses intertwines; the wreath symbolizes strength, endurance, and stability while the roses represent love, beauty, and passion. Together, they signify the enduring love and resilience of the Gawarecki family. The family motto is “Unitas et Fortitudo” (Unity and Strength). The motto emphasizes the importance of family bonds and resilience in the face of challenges.
